8 Tips to Reduce Bridal Appt Stress!

8 tips to reduce stress when bridal shopping

Hello Belles and Beaus!

Today I want to give you an easy way to make wedding gown shopping stress free. Whether you’re shopping here locally with us or anywhere else, these tips will help you make the most of your shopping experience and keep the stress meter down!

So let’s get Carried Away with Stress Reduction!

1

Shop When You're Ready to Buy: Don't stress yourself out by booking appointments when you're not sure. At our store, we give discounts for appointments that can save you a lot of money. But remember, these discounts are only for the first appointment, so if you're not ready to make a purchase, you'll miss out on these great deals!

2

Don't Go Overboard with Shopping: Having too many appointments close together can be super overwhelming and make things confusing. If you need to, try spacing out your appointments. Just book one at a time. When you go to each appointment, go in with the mindset that you're going to find your perfect dress. Lots of brides doubt they'll find the one, but set yourself up for success by believing you will! This will also allow you to enjoy the experience without watching the clock so you are on track for the next appointment.

3

Keep it Real with Your Budget: Just be honest with your consultant about how much you want to spend to avoid any surprises down the line. If you tell them your budget is higher than it really is, you might end up disappointed. Sure, it might be tempting to try on that couture dress that's way out of your price range just for fun, but what if you end up loving it? We've seen it happen so many times, and it's always a bummer for the bride who then feels like she settled for something else. If you actually have a budget of $2500, let your consultant know. Don't worry about starting lower – at Wedding Belles, our consultants aren't working on commission. They'll find you options within your budget, whether it's a $999 dress or one that costs twice as much. Our goal is to make sure you feel absolutely stunning on your big day.

4

Get a Head Start: Try to start shopping early, like a year before the big day, so you have enough time for any alterations or personal touches. Normally, it takes around 8 months for the dress to be produced, and you might have to wait another 6 weeks for it to arrive in-store. But hey, if you're running a bit behind, no worries! We can always find something for you from our stock if we can't do a special order!

5

Limit Entourage: Don't bring a whole bunch of people with you, it can just cause a lot of different opinions flying around. Stick to a small group of your closest peeps whose opinions really matter to you. Remember, everyone's got something to say, but make sure they're there to support you, not take over your appointment.

6

Feel free to ask questions: Don't be shy about asking your consultant anything. They're here to help and have the know-how to assist you. No question is too silly for us! Trust me! We have heard it all! We're here to make sure you have a fantastic experience. Our talented and amazing stylists have loads of experience and wisdom to share. Whether you aren't sure what a train is called, what neckline or waistline something is, or if you have no clue what a bustle is, go ahead and ask away! It is what we are here for!

7

Don't Forget Your Day-of Accessories: Make sure to bring any accessories you'll be rocking on your big day when trying on dresses. Whether it's some special family jewelry, a veil, or those killer shoes you'll be strutting in, bring along anything that's a must-have so you can see the whole picture once you find the perfect dress! People always ask us what to wear to an appointment and the answer is simple. Underwear, whatever items are non-negotiable on your wedding day, and a smile. We will take care of the rest!

8

Enjoy the Experience: Wedding gown shopping is meant to be enjoyable! Feel at ease and have confidence that your consultant is dedicated to guiding you through the process. We've got you, girl!
